The Scent That Every Indian Home Remembers

Chandan. Sandalwood. Whatever you call it, you’ve smelled it before. At a temple. At your grandparents’ place. During Diwali when the whole house had that warm, golden feel to the air.

This candle brings that back. For real.

Not Incense. A Candle.

Here’s the difference, agarbatti gives you sandalwood plus smoke. Lots of it. After 20 minutes, your room’s hazy and your eyes are watering.

Our sandalwood soy candle gives you the scent without any of that. Zero smoke. Zero soot. The flame burns so clean you’ll forget it’s there. You just… smell chandan. That deep, woody, slightly sweet warmth, with balsamic undertones and a touch of softness that lingers even after you put it out.

It’s sandalwood the way you want to remember it.

Why Pure Soy Wax Matters

We use 100% soy wax. Not a blend. Not “soy-based” (which usually means 30% soy and 70% paraffin). Actual pure soy.

Why does that matter? Three reasons:

1. No toxins. Paraffin is petroleum-based. When it burns, it releases chemicals like toluene and benzene. Soy doesn’t do that.

2. Longer burn. Soy wax has a lower melting point, so it burns slower. This 100g candle gives you 48 to 72 hours. Try getting that from a paraffin candle the same size.

3. Better scent throw. Because soy burns cooler, the fragrance oils release more slowly and evenly. No sudden burst that fades, just steady sandalwood from first light to last.

When to Light This One

There’s no wrong time, but here are the moments people seem to love it most:

During evening prayers or meditation. The woody warmth naturally slows you down. A few of our customers burn it while doing yoga, says it helps them stay present.

After a long day at work. Come home, light the candle, sit for ten minutes. Something about sandalwood just does that. It’s not energizing like citrus or calming like lavender. It’s… grounding. That’s the right word.

When guests are coming over, especially around festivals. Diwali, Navratri, housewarming ceremonies. Sandalwood just fits.

The Jar After the Candle

Once the last bit of wax is done, clean out the 120ml amber glass jar, warm water, some soap, done. Use it for dry masalas, bathroom storage, or just leave it on your desk. The gold lid and clean glass look good on their own.

⚠️ CANDLE CARE & SAFETY

  • Trim the wick to 5mm before lighting each time
  • On the very first burn, let the wax melt across the full surface, takes about 2 hours
  • Don’t exceed 4 hours of continuous burning
  • Keep the candle on a flat, heat-safe surface away from anything flammable
  • Never leave it unattended
  • Stop using when only 10mm of wax remains at the bottom, then clean and reuse the jar
